Today I am CELEBRATING! It’s my 2 year anniversary of Mama Carp & company and I have had a wonderful time here with you!
Thank you for spending some time with me and cheers to another year of creative solutions and inspiring ideas!
So no doubt I’ve been a little busy as always…August I entered my Mistral quilt into my first ever quilting competition. I became a finalist in the MQX Quilt Festival and Wednesday September 24th I found out I took second place in the Custom Heirloom Show category! My quilter, Norma Riehm & I were beyond thrilled!!! I can now check off National award winning quilter from my bucket list- YAY!! Our marks were awesome and the whole experience was incredible! A huge thank you to Janet-Lee Santeusanio for encouraging me- I definitely caught the competition bug…. Not bad for Mistrals first ride! My family and I celebrated with champagne & dinner at Acqua one of my favorite restaurants ❤
What else have I been up to? It’s October! My favorite time of year when the “Pumpkin Fairy” rises up out of her pumpkin patch delivering custom made pumpkins to friends & family to make their day! And this year was no different, this is something that I absolutely love to do!!! Here is this years pumpkins…
I’m hard at work sewing a few Halloween costumes and taking in the last gorgeous fall days here in beautiful Minnesota …
Tomorrow make sure you take some time to get outside, stop for a delicious pumpkin white chocolate mocha & make every effort to make someones day ❤
Any tips on getting the vinyl to stick? I’ve been trying to make one for my daughter’s teacher and my vinyl will NOT stick to the pumpkins we grew!! Using 651 and transfer tape, pumpkins are clean and room temp, and I’m pressing the vinyl properly (I think)… Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Katie! I use the Silhouette machine and their vinyl. Your pumpkin should be washed and Thoroughly dried, sometimes you need to bypass the transfer paper and wing it with a tweezer and pin- I hope this helps!! Teri
