The thought of showing up at a party with just a bag of chips have you running scared?
Bring this taco dip & impress your friends- it’s simple and delicious. You can make this using many short cuts or go all out – shred your own cheese, use fresh romaine & add some thinly sliced scallions to really show it off. Don’t own a 16” platter? Go foil and throw it when the parties over. This taco dip has been devoured by many little goblins at my house and you’ll be howlin’ at the moon with all the compliments!

I LOVE this time of year – Minnesota at its finest! Falling leaves, crisp autumn air & lots of crackling bonfires with your favorite friend’s. Be sure to whip up several batches of my Northwoods Apple Cider, its great hot or cold! Also keep it on hand for my favorite fall cocktail Jameson Cidertini’s. This cider recipe is also used in my turkey brine for Thanksgiving- Apple-Brined Grilled Turkey Recipe -Cheers!!!Northwoods Apple Cider
4 cups water
1 cup brown sugar
4 teaspoons whole cloves
2 teaspoons whole all spice
½ teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon nutmeg
4-6 cinnamon sticks
128 oz. apple cider
Combine everything but the apple cider in a 2 quart sauce pan.Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer with cover about 20 minutes. Strain twice. Add to apple cider in large pot- heat through.
Makes two AMAZING martini’s….
- 1 Tablespoon regular or super fine sugar
- 1 Tablespoon sparkling white sugar – opt. but gorgeous!
- 1 good sized lemon
- 1 1/2 Jiggers lemonade
- 1 1/2 Jiggers simple syrup*
- 1 1/2 Jiggers Limoncello
- 3 Jiggers Absolut CitronVodka
Cut lemon in half then with each half cut a pretty slice for garnish- set aside.
Combine your sugars on a plate; using a remaining lemon half, coat your two rims of your martini glasses quickly coating the wet rim in the sugar evenly- set aside.
Using a citrus reamer, juice the remaining lemon halves into your martini shaker.
Add your lemonade, simple syrup, Limoncello & Citron vodka. Add ice, cover and shake really well.
Pour the amazing contents into your glasses and float your lemon slice on top.
* Combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water on stove until sugar has dissolved- store in fridge for 2 weeks
