DIY Cold Press Coffee

Cold press coffee lovers- making your own is so easy, so cheap and soooooo good! This past summer I made a batch every single week and loved having it on hand for guests who also enjoyed a good cold coffee during the day. If you’ve never tried it, it has a very smooth taste and does not cost near what they charge at the coffee shops!

You need a container (I use my growler from Caribou coffee) filled with 6 cups water; simply add 1 1/2 cups of ground medium/dark roast coffee using a funnel.

After filling your container, screw on the cap and give it a good shake.

Leave on the counter for 12-24 hours giving it a little shake at least a couple times.

With a fine mesh strainer, strain it one to two times, rinse out your growler and fill it back up with the strained cold press. Refrigerate.Enjoy over ice with your favorite creamer.
