Last year we kicked off 2012 with a family trip to sunny Sanibel, Florida. There is nothing better for me than traveling with my kids, this trip Chelsie’s boyfriend Ryan joined us <3
After landing in Fort Meyers, we love to shop the local Walmart superstore. What an event- we fly through the grocery store with 3 or 4 carts trying to get the goods for the whole week. It’s always fun to see if everybody remembered their favorite items. Every day we make fresh salsa, guacamole & Margarita’s –it never gets old : ) Craig’s Sister Carmel & her wonderful husband Bill have a condo in Sanibel. Wanting to share their fun, Craig found a deal on a condo in the building right next to them. It is so much fun to meet with them on the beach.
Every night we would watch the sunset together and watch for the green flash…. Bill, I’m still not too sure about the whole green flash theory, but I can’t imagine not waiting for it with you & my camera – just incase…
Sanibel is a very laid back place where you make your own fun- we took a little drive to the end of the island to Captiva- what a cool place! It was a pretty chilly day but we still had a blast- Craig opted to stay back, Craig you were missed….
Sun, sand, walks on the beach, shells & interesting things that crawl by your feet, cooking with the family & dancing the night away (as Ty puts it-the only way ”all out”) at the local favorite- Jacaranda’s …a good time had by all <3
On the last day, Carmel had found a groupon deal for a dolphin excursion. How cool!!!
