Hummus

DSC_0285There’s something amazing about fresh homemade hummus! Good things happen when garlic, lemon and cumin come together. Its quick to make, great in sandwiches and perfect with fresh vegetables in your packed lunches. Keep extra products on hand for unexpected guests, you can wow them with your mad kitchen skills!

1- 15 oz. can garbanzo beans
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup tahini (I used Krinos)
1 large clove garlic
2 Tablespoons olive oil
½-1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon cumin
3 Tablespoons water
Dash of paprika for serving
Drain and rinse chickpeas. Add everything to your blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Scrape down your sides, taste test and blend again. Serve with pita chips, fresh breads and vegetables. I love to make a double batch and send some home with my kids.
